Lorraine Sakli

Lorraine Sakli believes that working for the welfare of animals is work of the soul. That’s why she left a long and successful publishing career as marketing director for Reader’s Digest, Smithsonian, and Prevention magazines to start her own pet business, Both Ends of the Leash. But Lorraine missed publishing and says she has found the perfect match in Tails. She loves working with a great magazine that helps make a big difference for animals in need. Lorraine lives in New York with her rescued Pharaoh Hound, Saffron, a giant lap dog, and her mischievous tabby, Mr. T., who was rescued on a cold and rainy Christmas Eve. She is the author of a mystery novel, Black Habits, and works with local rescue groups in New York, such as Bobbi and the Strays, BARC, Animal Haven, Save A Dog Today, and others across the country. Her biggest passion is fundraising for shelters and rescue groups and helping animals live happily ever after.
