St. Louis

Southwest City Dog Park

Located in the Southampton Neighborhood, at Willmore Park. The dog park is near the intersection of Hampton & Jamieson, south of I-44 at Willmore Park (just north of the intersection of Hampton and Gravois). When entering Willmore Park off of Hampton Avenue, drive until you reach the very last parking lot.

Open 6am to 10pm.
Annual Membership Fees: Southampton Neighborhood Assn. member $35; city of St. Louis resident $50; residents from outside neighborhood & city: $80; $10 each additional dog.

 

Lister Dog Park

Located in the Central West End neighborhood, near Olive & Taylor, next to the Lister Building. Take I-64 to Kings highway north, east on Lindell Blvd, north on Taylor, west on Olive to dog park
Open during daylight hours only.
Membership Fees:
Annual Membership Fees: Student, $35; Regular, $50; Non-resident: $60; $15 for each additional dog, for any type of membership

Misc: First dog park in metro St. Louis opened at its original location in 1997; moved to this location in 2004. Resident membership is determined by neighborhood definition (Vandeventer to the western corporate limits of the City of Saint Louis and from 1-64 to Delmar). Dogs must be spayed/neutered. Limit: 3 dogs per handler. No children under age 12 allowed inside dog park; children ages 12-15 are allowed inside only when accompanied by parent/guardian. Other rules apply.

Shaw Dog Park

Located in the Shaw Neighborhood (south city), at the corner of Thurman & Cleveland Aves. Take I-44 to Kings Highway, south to Magnolia; east on Magnolia Ave.; north on Thurman Ave. to 3rd intersection (Cleveland).
Open 6am-10pm daily.
Membership Fees: Annual Fee (renewals in October regardless of what month one joins). For Shaw residents: $25 for first dog; $5 for each additional dog, up to 3 dogs. Non-residents: $50 for first dog; $10 for each additional dog, up to 3 dogs.

Misc: No children under 12 years of age; children 12-18 years must be with an adult. Membership application, requires proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination and signed waiver of liability. John & Lucille Wendling Soulard Dog Park

Located in the Soulard Neighborhood at 10th & Emmett Streets. The park is two blocks south near 9th & Lafayette (by the Historic Soulard Market)
Open 6am-9pm daily.
Membership Fees: Resident: $35/year for 1st dog, 2nd & 3rd dogs are additional $10/year each. Non-resident: $50/year for 1st dog, 2nd & 3rd dogs are additional $10/year each.

Creve Coeur

Creve Coeur Dog Park

Located at Conway Park, 12301 Conway Rd immediately west of I-270; dog park is in the northeast corner of the park
Open from dusk to dawn.
Membership Fees: (Annual fee, charged by calendar year) Resident: $30/yr for first dog, $15/yr for each additional dog; Non-resident: $80/yr for first dog, $25/yr for each additional dog. For members who join on or after July 1, annual fees are reduced 50%. Proof of vaccination required.

Misc: Rules are part of the city's legal code. Dogs must be spayed or neutered. No children under 10 years old; older children must be under adult supervision. Dog handlers must be at least 16 years old. No dogs under 6 month old. Limit: three dogs per handler. Other rules apply.

Florissant

Florissant Dog Park

At Duchesne Park (behind Manion Park). From I-270, exit at Hanley/Graham Rd.; north on Graham Rd. to Manion Park Rd. Turn west (left) on Manion Park Rd; follow until it becomes Brower Lane. Continue on Brower Lane to entrance of Duchesne Park; follow signs to dog park.
Open 8am-11pm.
Membership Fees: Annual Jan 1-Dec 31. Resident: $30 first dog, $5 each additional dog; limit 3 dogs per handler. Non-Resident: $80 first dog, $20 each additional dog; limit 3 dogs per handler.

Misc: Rules are part of the city's legal code. No children under age 10 allowed inside fenced area; older children permitted under strict adult supervision. No pinch/spike/prong collars allowed. No puppies under six months of age. No dogs in heat allowed. No pit bull or pit bull mix dogs allowed. Other rules apply.

Maplewood

Maplewood Dog Park

Kellogg Park at intersection of Rannells and Old Laclede Station Road on Circle Drive, just north of the Metrolink station.
Open dawn to dusk, except in winter, dog park is open until 6pm.
Membership Fees: Annual memberships for Residents of Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Brentwood and Shrewsbury residents: $20 for first dog, $5 for second dog. Membership for residents outside those communities: $50 each for the first and second dog.*2007 membership (and waiting list) are closed; dog park is at its capacity.

Misc: No children 12 years of age or younger allowed inside the fenced area; children ages 13-17 are permitted inside the fenced area only when accompanied by a person over the age of 18. Limit: 2 dogs per owner at any time. Other rules apply.

Maryland Heights

DogPort

Off Old McKelvey Road, just north of Aquaport. Take I-270 to Dorsett, west to McKelvey Road, veer right at Aquaport (Old McKelvey Road).
Open sunrise to sunset.
Membership fees: $30 for first dog, $5 each additional dog. Memberships available for residents only. To register residents must have Maryland Heights city I.D. card and bring proof of vaccinations. Dogs must wear tags at all times.

Misc: Surface is decomposed granite; by dog park rules. There are separate areas for dogs over/under 30 lbs. Limit two dogs per handler at one time; no puppies under six months of age. Other rules apply.

University City

U. City Dog Play Area

At the corner of Vernon & Pennsylvania; directly southeast of Heman Park. Take I-64 and exit 32B towards Hanley Rd. North. Go 2.2 miles and turn right on Delmar Blvd. Follow Delmar to Midland and turn left. Go .2 mile to Vernon and turn right. Follow Vernon to the intersection of Pennsylvania and Vernon.
Open: 5:30am to 10pm.
Membership Fees: Application fee of $2. Annual membership: Residents $20 for first dog, $2 for second dog; Non-residents $50 for first dog, $25 for second dog.

Misc: Applications are made through the University City Collector's office. Not Allowed: Pit Bull, Stafford Terrier or Bull Terriers or mixes which include these breeds (city ordinance 6.08.110).

City of St. Charles

Point DuSable Dog Park

Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Park, Bales (north) Area; 2598 North Main Street, just north of Old Town St. Charles.
Open: 7am-10pm (Apr 1 to Nov 14); 8am-10pm (Nov 15 to March 31)

Wentzville

Quail Ridge Dog Park

At Quail Ridge County Park. From I-70, take Hwy 40/61 south: At the Callahan Road signal (first traffic light) turn right onto Callahan Road and make immediate right onto the Quail Ridge Parkway; follow road 3/4 mile to park entrance on left. Or from Hwy 40/61 going North (west): At Callahan Road signal (last traffic light before I-70) turn left onto Callahan Road and make immediate right turn onto Quail Ridge Parkway; follow road 3/4 mile to park entrance on left.
Open: 7am to 10pm
Membership Fees: None

 

St. Charles County

Broemmelsiek Dog Park

In unincorporated St. Charles County, near Defiance. Take I-64 to Winghaven (Hwy DD) exit, go west 4 miles to Schwede Road, turn right and follow Schwede to left on Wilson Road; dog park driveway is on your right after the fishing lake.
Open: 7am to 10pm
Membership Fees: None

 

Illinois

Swansea Dog Park

Located at Melvin Price Memorial Park. Take 1500 block of Caseyville Avenue; dog park is on the west side of the street
Hours: 6am-10 pm (Apr-Oct); 7am-6pm (Nov-March)
Membership Fees: Residents: $25 per dog, per year; Non-residents: $50 per dog, per year.

Misc: Water and restrooms are located close to the dog park. Separate areas available for large dogs and smaller (and less-able) dogs. Decorative fire hydrant provided by the city fire department.
