Have you always thought your pet was the cutest, goofiest, or funniest?  Want to prove it to your fellow pet lovers? Well, now’s the time to do it!

The official TAILS 2012 Photo Contest is underway–so be sure to get those entries sent in!  The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2012.

The categories are:

• Most Photogenic
• Cutest Sleeping
• Caught in the Act
• Most Adorable Baby
• Unlikeliest Couple
• Goofiest
• Sweetest Senior

How to Submit your Photos

Submitting your photos for the 2012 photo contest is simple.  Just follow these quick and easy instructions:

1. Get your picture ready to send to us. We can only accept high quality digital pictures (because the winners will be published in your local edition of TAILS in May!)
2. Identify which of the above categories you wish to submit your photograph to. Please note only one photo is accepted per person, per category–so make sure it’s the best one you have!  (Since you can submit one photo to each category, we ask that you please send a different photo for each category entered.)
3. Identify which local edition of TAILS you are submitting your photo to. Photo contest local edition submissions are applicable to:
   1. Boston
   2. Chicago
   3. Indianapolis
   4. Los Angeles
   5. Louisville
   6. New York
   7. Philadelphia
   8. Phoenix
   9. St. Louis
   10. Twin Cities
   11. Pet Lovers in other Cities (winners will be published online only)
4. Now it is time to email us your entry.
   1. Put the Category and Local Edition you’ve identified (in steps 2 and 3 above) in the SUBJECT of your email to us. (For example – Goofiest/Phoenix or Sweetest Senior/Philadelphia)
   2. Attach your photograph to the email (remember–we need high quality versions of your photos!)
   3. In the body of the email, be sure to let us know who you are and how to contact you to send you your prize if you win. Please include your:
      1. Name
      2. Pet’s Name
      3. Address
      4. Phone Number
      5. Email address (if it is different than the email you’re sending us the entry from)
   4. Once you’ve got that all together, email your completed entry and all information to photocontest2012@tailsinc.com.

And voila!  Your submission will be on its way to us.  You will receive an automated response letting you know that your email was received.  Only one automated response is sent to an email address a day–so if you send multiple submissions in one 24 hour period, you will only receive one automated response.  Submissions sent that do not include all of the above information will be removed from the system and deemed ineligible for the contest–so please be sure to only hit ‘send’ once you’ve got everything ready to go!

We receive so many wonderful photos each and every year that we have decided to hold onto all the photos and try to use them throughout this next year.  As such, we must let everyone know that all photo contest submissions received become the property of Tails Pet Media Group Inc., and might be published at any time in print, online, or in our e-newsletter.  We’ll be sure to give you and your friend a credit near the photo–so be sure to keep picking up your copy of TAILS and see if your best friend is in it!  How cool is that?!
