If you’ve signed up for the site and are still unable to log in and access member-only features, update your account profile, etc., then that means you haven’t activated your account!
After filling out the registration form for the site, an automatically-generated email will be sent to the email address used for sign up. This email contains a special link that MUST be clicked in order to activate your account and open up all member features. If this email and link are not clicked through, then the account remains in suspension and totally inoperable.
** Please note that it can take a while for the activation email to be sent (it is not instantaneous). If you have just recently signed up, please allow ample time for this email to be sent before contacting us. Also, please be sure to check your SPAM folder to see if your email system incorrectly captured the activation email. **
This process is a security feature of our site–it helps keep spammers and robots out of our forums and keeps the site safe for everyone. Some users feel it is too complicated–but we feel it is a necessary step to authenticate all of our web users and keep everyone’s experience safe and well protected.
