Our forums/groups don’t support adding images directly to a post (not yet, anyway!), but you CAN include a link to a picture (or two or three or…) in your TailsInc.com member profile. Much like Facebook, Myspace, etc., the Tails site allows you to upload photos to your profile’s “Album” and then you can use the photo’s link in your forum posts to show people what you’re talking about!

Best of all–it’s very easy to do. Here’s how you do it:

    1. Upload a photo or two to your TailsInc.com profile. To do this, just log in to the site and place your mouse over “My Account” at the top of the page. Then place your mouse over “Album” and then “Upload Picture.” Select the picture you want to upload from your computer and make sure to mark it “Public” so everyone can see it. Then click “Upload Picture.” Enter a title and a short description. Once finished, click “Save.”

    2. After you have clicked “Save” the site will direct you to the photo’s unique page on TailsInc.com. Copy the URL of the page from your web browser (you’ll need this link later to include in your forum post). It will look something like this: http://www.tailsinc.com/members/webeditor/album/picture/11/

    3. Next, go to the group page (Memorials, Shout Outs, etc) and click “Join Group” if you aren’t already a member of the group. Doing this allows you to post things to that specific group’s forum on the site.

    4. Once you’re a member of the group, click on “Forum.”

    5. On the Forum page that opens, you’ll see an area titled “Post a New Topic.” This is the page where you will write your post and include the link to your image (or images if you uploaded multiple pictures and copied down those links too).

Hopefully these quick instructions were easy enough to follow and you’re able to post your photo links in the forums. If you have any troubles, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

I just read your article and it is so wonderful you found the real help you needed for your dog. My husband and I have a small pet sit business and our client has a golden retriever. He chased a rabbit in February and tore his “doggie knee”…he has been to therapy because he can’t do any surgery. He seemed to be getting better…but the therapy seemed to be pushing him too far. He is limping now after 3 months. Are there any vets that anyone knows that has success with this problem and helped a dog get better without surgery? Thanks. Linda
