Hey there! My name is Michael and I am a very handsome Australian Shepherd mix. I’m just over a year old, and am doing very well learning my basic obedience commands. I love to play, and would love to be surrounded by a new family who is also energetic and active. I look forward to my daily walks, and extra exercise is a bonus. Forget that crazy fad diet … I will keep you fit and trim!

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
Hopefully, not one that I’ve been peeing on outside! Eeeew! Seriously, I’d be an apple tree, so I can provide you with delicious fruit.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would buy toys and treats for every shelter animal in the world! And get my new family a great big house that we can run around in.

What do you dream of at night?
Hanging out with my forever family and going for nice walks after dinner. A nice big, meaty bone to chew, too!

Hamburger or hot dog?
Tough choice. But I’ll be happy with either one … or both if you’re feeling generous.

Hi, I’m Casey, a lovely 9-year-old Domestic Calico Longhair. I am looking for a relaxed family where I can spend my days basking in the sunlight soaking up some rays. I love to cuddle and purr like crazy when you scratch my head. I am mature, well-mannered, and full of unconditional love. And, did I mention I’m a great napper?

What movie star would you want
to portray you in a movie of your life?
Meryl Streep. She has aged with grace and elegance. She’d be perfect!

What do you dream of at night?
Spending the rest of my days with a great family. And ordering a giant tray of sushi and catnip from room service.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be the photo that you use as your wallpaper on your iPhone, because you love me so much! Nothing would make me happier or more proud.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I am well-behaved, gentle, mellow, and loving. To sum it up: I am the perfect cat.

Howdy! My name is Dallas and this is my brother Austin. We were only a few weeks old when we were found in an alley, too young, alone, and terrified. It took a lot of time and love to coax us out of our shells, but now we are healthy, rambunctious kittens. Come meet us, I just know you’re going to love my brother and me!

What is your favorite board game?
I think if there are games out there that I can play with my brother and my new family, I would play all of them in a heartbeat.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would make sure that no other kitties have to go through what we went through.

What do you dream of at night?
Living in a beautiful house with Austin, and having a great family to call our own!

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
We are very entertaining cats! We love each other and you can really see that when we interact!

Who is your best friend?
Austin, of course!

Hi! My name is Precious and believe me, I am just that! I was a stray found living under a porch in north St. Louis. I was extremely skinny, my coat was dull and I had fleas. But now, I have a beautiful coat, am up to normal weight, and couldn’t be sweeter! Please come down and meet me—I promise I will win you over in a minute.

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
Emma Stone is very popular right now, so I think she would be great. We are both beautiful and very nice!

What is your favorite board game?
Apples to Apples! I hear people talking about this all of the time at Animal House. It really sounds like a lot of fun!

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I had it tough for a while, so I know I deserve a nice fluffy bed and some wonderful treats. I hope you can give that to me.

What do you want to be when you
grow up?
Your best friend!

Hey! My name is Cocoa and I am a beautiful chocolate girl that is as sweet as my name. I love everyone I meet and I am not shy about doling out the kisses. I love to go for walks, play fetch and go for car rides. I do okay with other dogs as long as they allow me to be the “Top Dog.” I am already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and house-trained. Now I just need you to take me home. I cannot wait to meet you.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
Wow! What a perfect question! Of course, I would be a cocoa tree. What else would you expect?

What is your favorite board game?
I’ve always been partial to Candy Land, but please don’t feed me any—it’s not good for my belly.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Buy a great big piece of land for me and all of my shelter mates to run free on.

What do you dream of at night?
You. I see you coming to pick me up and bring me home.

Hello! I’m Rex and I am a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd boy who is about as sweet and gentle as the day is long. I’m quite good with other dogs and am wonderful with other people. I’m still learning my manners because I’m just a pup, so please be patient with me—I want to learn. Maybe we can sign up for an obedience course! I’m happy to sleep in my crate, but I can cuddle up next to you if you’d like.  I’m a sweetheart, so come by for a visit.

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life and why?
Probably Leo DiCaprio.  Just like me, he faced some tough times when he was a pup (I was a stray until Serendipity found me).  But Leo overcame those hardships and became a success.  I know that I’ll be a success as your forever pal if you bring me home.

What is your favorite song and why?
“Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones.  Check out my fur… pretty cool, right?

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
Because I’ve got all of this love to give and no one to heap it upon. I have the potential to be a great dog and an even better friend to the right person. I know there are a lot of deserving dogs out there, but I’m ready for my forever family to bring me home!

Hey there! How cute am I? Super cute, right?  My name is Charlie and I am a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd boy.  I am very playful and have been told that I am very handsome, but you don’t need to tell me that … I already know.  I do love to chase other small animals, so kitties and other small furry critters would not be good housemates for me. I am a great dog for an outdoorsy person because I love to go for walks and hikes through the woods. If you’re active and ready to go, come and get me now. What are you waiting for?

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why?
One with a lot of squirrels and birds for me to have fun with and chase.  I’m pretty quick, but so are they.

What do you dream of at night?
Running! My legs are always moving when I’m asleep.  It’s pretty funny!

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Buy a big piece of land for me roam and run on.  I love to feel the wind in face and blowing through my fur.

What is your favorite song and why?
“Running Down A Dream” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers because I love to run and living with you would be a dream come true.

Say hello to Jet. He is a super sweet and calm 5-month-old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped gray-and-white Tabby. Jet was originally found in a dumpster with nine other kittens in Warsaw, at about 3-1/2 weeks of age.  He was the runt of what probably were two litters. Now, Jet loves to cuddle and he’s a wonderfully well-behaved kitten.

What do others most admire about you?
How calm, well-behaved and cooperative I am.  I’m not all over the place and in your face. I’m polite and mannerly. I love a nice warm lap and a good tummy rub.

What is your favorite activity?
I love to lay in the sun on a cat tree. And I love curling up with my best friend Eli. He’s a black kitten just about my age and my foster brother.

Who are your best friends?
My best friends are all my other foster kitten playmates. We love to play, chase feather toys and we delight in snuggling with one another and taking naps together.

Why should you go home with a family today?
I’m a loving, sweet, calm boy who’s no trouble at all.  I get along with everyone—humans, other kitties, even dogs. I’m also a “lap kitty” and everyone needs one of those!

Meet Atlas. He is a 3-year-old housebroken, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated Boxer/Bulldog Mix. Atlas is quite the academic. He knows his basic obedience and tricks and can do them with verbal or even hand signals! Atlas enjoys other dogs and is friendly with children. He doesn’t jump fences or dig, is leash-trained and rides well in a car. With his excellent manners and gentle, loving personality, he is the perfect canine family member.

What do others most admire about you?
How great I am with people, kids, animals and nature. My ability to learn and adapt is second only to my friendly attitude and great looks.

What is the one thing about dogs that no one seems to know?
The many ways we communicate with our families. For example, there are over 200 reasons we wag our tails!  We are so fascinating and there is so much more to learn about us!

What is your favorite activity?
Just because I am smart doesn’t mean I am not also athletic. Get me outside and let’s see what I can do!

Why should you go home with a family today?
I am a wonderful companion, from my all-around easygoing friendly nature to my intelligence and good looks, I am certainly one of a kind.

Adopt Me — RadarMeet Radar, a neutered, 1-year-old, vaccinated Tabby with white paws. Radar was born with no eyes but flourished after medical rehab. Radar loves other cats and lived with a small German Shepherd for several months. Radar enjoys his canned food and has never had an accident outside of the litter box. He is playful, and no one would ever know he cannot see because he follows sound and is just so happy-go-lucky.

What’s your favorite activity?
I love to play, race, chase toys, and wrestle with my kitty friends. Because I can’t see, sometimes when I am startled, I still nip, but I am learning. Hey, I’m still young!

Who’s your best friend?
My roommate, Snagglepuss, who is missing part of her lower jaw. Well-adjusted peas in a pod.

Who’s in your perfect family?
Snaggles, of course, but any furry friends would be great! I also love compassionate older kids who would brush me and like to play.

Why should you go home with a family today?
Some people fear adopting a blind kitten, but since I know nothing else, I romp, frolic, and play like any other kitten. What stands out about me is not my blindness but my ability to see the fun and love in every moment of my life. I will bring love into your world and your love will bring light into mine.
