Hi! My name is Augie, and I am an adorable Border Collie/Labrador mix … with a dash of something else that has given me this curly tail! I am young, but totally housetrained and extremely playful. I can be a bit nervous at first when I meet new dogs, but I settle in after a few minutes. I live with a large Hound mix in my foster home, and we get along great. I am energetic, but not as high energy as a typical Border Collie. If you are looking for an active, fun, adorable, sweet medium-sized dog, then I am the dog for you!

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Chew toys. Tennis Balls. Treats. Bacon. And that’s just my shopping list for day one! I’d also get the staff here lots of presents for taking such good care of me and my animal friends.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I am a very smart boy with a lot of love in my heart. I will do well with any family.

Beach or mountains?
I would love to go for a nice long hike in the mountains. There would be so many great things to smell.

Hamburger or hot dog?
Both. With fries, please. We might as well celebrate, right?

Hello! My name is April, and I’m an adorable, sweet girl. I am about 2 years old, and I’m pretty sure I’ve got some Border Collie, Terrier, and Hound in me. No one is sure, but we all agree I’m a cutie! At 30 pounds, I am the perfect size for any family. I love to run, and can really turn on the jets when I get going. I am a bit timid when I meet new people, but I warm up quickly and will be taking treats out of your hand in no time at all.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would buy a big field so I could run all day and all night … and I’d invite all my doggie friends!

What do you dream of at night?
Roaming free with my favorite human right by my side, and giving giant doggie kisses.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I’ve got too much explorer in me to be stuck here in a shelter. Although I love everybody here, I know I’ll be happier in a nice home.

Who is your best friend?
Everybody here at Main Line is so much fun! They really love me, but they want YOU to be my new bestie!

Well, hello there. My name is Dreamy—which describes me perfectly. I’m a fun dog who loves to run all over with my toys in my mouth. I love to play ā€œkeep away.ā€ I’m perfect for a house with a fenced-in yard, and an active family—I especially love running or biking. And after a long day of exercise, I am so happy to lounge around and cuddle. I hope you like doggie kisses!

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
How about Patrick Dempsey? He’s McDreamy, and I’m Dreamy—so it seems like a perfect fit.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would give it all to by wonderful pet parent. I’m a dog, so I wouldn’t know what to do with all of that money.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I am a fun dog. I play hard and sleep hard!

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I think I am a pretty good dog now, but there is always room for improvement, I guess.

Greetings! My name is Donner and I definitely need a home with a fenced-in yard to release my energy. I like to explore, but I love to be loved. What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
Robert Downey Jr. is quite the stud, and so am I—if I may say so myself.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would live every dog’s dream. Big backyard. Plenty of bacon. And a loving human by my side at all times.

What do you dream of at night?
Bacon, mostly!

Who is your best friend?
BACON!

Hamburger or hot dog?
Wrap them in bacon, and I’ll take both!

Ehhhhh! It’s the Fonz! How you doing? I may look like a big, tough guy, but don’t let that fool you. I’m really just a lovable boy looking for a new home. I think I am somewhere between 5 and 6 years old. I am a very big, striped Tomcat. I am neutered and ready to move in with my new forever family. Come visit me and I am sure you’ll want to take me home. I guarantee we will have some ā€œHappy Daysā€ together! Get it? Yeah, I’m clever too.

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
Henry Winkler, of course. Who else could play the Fonz?

What is your favorite board game?
I’ve always liked Monopoly. It’s a nice relaxing game, plus the little pieces are fun to paw at.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Start production on the movie of my life starring Henry Winkler.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I’m all up-to-date on my shots. I’m neutered. I’m fun and I’m the Fonz! What more can you ask for?

Hey there! My name is MJ and I am a super-handsome male tuxedo kitty that is somewhere between 2 and 4 years old.Ā I want nothing more than a warm lap to curl up on in the cold months ahead and a kitty friend to play with. I can be very playful so I wouldn’t do well in a home with timid kitties.Ā I am full of spunk and should do well in any type of household. Please consider adding me to yours!

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
James Bond looks good in a tuxedo, so I think the new Bond—Daniel Craig—would do a great job in my biopic.

What is your favorite board game?
Checkers is a lot of fun! But I really love batting a ball around on my back.

What do you dream of at night?
Being a great companion to my new family! I have so much love to give, and I am just waiting for the right person to come along and bring me home!

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I will brighten up your day! I am so happy now, imagine what I will be like when I am getting love and attention everyday.

Adopt Me – Smoke

Howdy! My name is Smoke and I am a 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix, so I don’t shed too much. I am 49 pounds of solid dog. I need basic obedience training to improve my manners, but I will be a great pet once I’m trained. I also need someone to teach me about toys—I don’t exactly know what I am supposed to do when presented with a ball! Maybe you can help? Come down here for a visit and we can chat about this ā€œfetchā€ game I have been hearing about.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?Ā
Probably a birch because of my black and white coloring.

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
A young Paul Newman would be ideal because I am handsome, but you can tell that I’m a little bit of a bad boy.

What is your favorite board game?
Sadly, I do not have the attention span for a board game right now, but I do want to know more about those yellow fuzzy things people want me to chase. Tennis balls? I think that’s what they’re called.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
I am a bunch of fun. Yeah, I need some direction, but I know that you are just the person to give it to me.

Hey there! My name is Riley and I am a gorgeous 5-year-old female kitty. I love attention and I am playful. I also really like to have my beautiful coat brushed.Ā  My last home had a dog, a home with a cat-friendly dog would be OK. However, I don’t really like other cats in my space, so I would have to be the only one in the house.Ā I am litterbox trained and will be a great addition to your already wonderful family!

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life?
Reese Witherspoon. She is so sweet and adorable. She is America’s sweetheart, and I know that I can be your sweetheart.

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Catnip! Unholy amounts of catnip!

What do you dream of at night?
Spending time curled up next to you.

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
Every pet needs a home.

Pink or purple?
Oh, don’t make me choose. They’re both beautiful colors.

Adopt Me—Snickers

Adopt Me—SnickersThe Pennsylvania SPCAĀ Ā Ā

Why hello there!Ā  My name is Snickers. Hey, would you want to go outside?Ā  How about a quick romp in the backyard? What’s that? You’re too far away? Ok then, I’ll just tell you a bit about myself instead. I can’t quite remember my parents, but I’m pretty sure Mom was a Shepherd, and I guess my gorgeous brindle coat comes from my Pops!Ā  I guess you could say I’m a purebred Philly Shelter Dog!Ā  Speaking of shelters, I’m getting a little tired of this place. I’ve been here for more than a year—can you believe that? I think people must overlook me because of my age (I’m 6- years-young), but really, I’m in the prime of my life!Ā  I love running around outside and practicing my scent-tracking skills. I really enjoy training sessions, but one thing you won’t have to do is potty-train me. Enemy number one? Squirrels! All-time favorite activity? Getting belly rubs!!Ā  My biggest wish in the world? To be adopted and finally be able to share all of this love inside me!Ā  Come on, how ā€˜bout it? Gimme a chance?

What is your favorite board game and why?
My favorite board game is Mouse Trap. Just the name alone excites me—oh, how I love the thrill of a chase! I can’t really play because of my paws and whatnot, but I’ll patiently sit to watch people set up all the little parts…anticipation building and building…and finally, WHAM! The mouse is trapped!

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie of your life and why?
In a movie about my life, I would want Butch Cassidy era Paul Newman to portray yours truly.Ā  He’s handsome without the ego, quirky, and fun-loving.Ā  However grave a situation may be, Paul finds humor and always has a smile flirting across his face.Ā  I think we have a lot in common—don’t you?

Adopt Me—Dancer

The Pennsylvania SPCAĀ Ā Ā  Adopt Me—Dancer
PSPCA.org
215.426.6300 Ext. 249Ā

Hello darlings! My name is Dancer, and I am a lady who knows what she wants and won’t settle for anything less!Ā  As you can see from my beautiful blonde fur and exquisite shepherd markings, I obviously belong in a pampering home that will cater to my every desire. I will require daily walks and brushings, grain-free food made and snuggle-sessions. As for exercise, I enjoy long runs with a companion and often indulge in a game of tug. Oh, and one other thing…I don’t ā€œdoā€ kids.Ā  Children are apt to sully up my hair and pull my tail!Ā  I much prefer the company of humans, no other animals, thank you very much.Ā  I love being the center of attention, but what I want most is to be the center of someone’s life.Ā  Please bring me home!

If you won the lottery, what would you do?
I would purchase my very own dog food company and create the finest food and treats available! The rest of the money I would donate to my new adopters, on one little condition … they travel the world and take me with them!Ā  Paris, here I come!

Who is your best friend?
My best friend is a volunteer named Bennie who loves me so much; she visits me at the shelter almost every single day. We go for long walks, or sometimes relax in the dog run. She doesn’t judge me for being unladylike when I can’t take it anymore and just have to chase the pigeons!
