Why Tails works?

If you have trouble sending us an email using the above form, then please EMAIL US directly with any inquiries you have about advertising in Tails and we’ll be sure to get back to you right away.  The best information to send us along with any particular questions you might have is your Company Name, your First and Last name, your company’s Address, City, State, and Zip, as well as your phone number.  We can then get back in touch with you and send you our media kit and any samples you might need.

Printing Specifications

Tails interior pages are printed cold-web, offset, on 35# book stock, with soy inks; Outside cover is printed on #35 glossy stock. Tails is staple-bound and trimmed to a finished size of 9.75” x 11.375”.

All ads (with the exception of full-page ads with bleeds) are set within a .5pt. border. Ad bleed size is .125″

Web Ad Specifications

Web ad sizes are:

Leaderboard: 728 x 90 px

Sidebar Rectangle: 300 x 250 px

Accepted file formats: GIF (can be animated), JPEG, or PNG

Ad Design Services

Advertisers can submit ideas, logos, and company information to our 3-proof process. Tails Pet Media Group, Inc. designers will create most ads for $200. The ad will be archived if advertiser decides to run it in future issues at no charge. Repeat advertisers with ads requiring structural or creative updates will be charged a nominal fee – contact your representative for more details. Repeat advertisers may run ads already archived with Tails with no retrieval costs.

Color Ads on Newsprint

Although Tails makes every effort to guarantee a great reproduction, due to the nature of newsprint and the printing process, we cannot guarantee exact color reproduction or registration. TPMG will not make adjustments to the price of the ad unless the color clearly diminishes the clarity of the product or obscures advertiser’s contact information.

Design Specs

• File is High Resolution (300 dpi)
• File matches contracted size (see rate sheet for dimensions)
• File includes all placed artwork
• File includes all fonts or all fonts have been converted to outlines or paths

Digital File Requirements

• Tails is equipped with MAC platforms. We accept ads by e-mail, on CD-ROM.
• Repeat advertisers may run ads already archived with Tails with no retrieval costs.
• The following application file formats are acceptable: PDF, TIFF, JPG, or EPS.

We strongly recommend creating your ad in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.

All provided ads must meet publisher’s set specifications and submission deadlines or will be subject to additional charges.

Illustrator

Submitted Illustrator files should not have locked or hidden items or layers. All fonts need to be converted to outlines. Export file as JPG, TIFF, or PDF or save your file as an EPS for MAC format. Be sure to include all placed art, images, and fonts (printer&screen) in one single folder.

Photoshop

All included images should be at 300 dpi. DO NOT place borders on document to indicate the area bounds of the ad. Please flatten final artwork and provide as a JPG or TIFF for MAC format.

We do not accept ads created in Microsoft Applications.

Advertiser is responsible for submitting file in appropriate format or will be subject to an ad creation fee. All ads must be high resolution (300 dpi), include any placed artwork and have all fonts converted to outlines or paths.
