In Defense of Pit Bulls

There is no question that Pit Bulls and Pit Bull-type dogs face discrimination because of their breed. They are overlooked at shelters, considered dangerous and mean, and unfairly represented in the media as possessing an innate sense of aggression. Breed specific legislation codifies this discrimination and furthers the myth of the “bully” breed.

In honor of Huffington Post’s Pit Bull Week, dog care website K9 of Mine¬†shared this wonderful infographic debunking some of the most pervasive myths about our Pittie friends. We encourage you to share, and help spread the word about what sweet, loyal, and lovable dogs Pit Bulls really are.
