A few weeks ago we told you about KitTea, an intriguing new idea in animal rescue that aims to use a unique spot––a tea shop––to help homeless kitties find their forever families.
“I see KitTea as a place where people can benefit from the therapeutic qualities of cats, enjoy a more socially engaged environment with other animal lovers, and simply zen out with a pot of tea,” says founder Courtney Hatt. “We will take the cats out of the stressful shelter environment and bring them into a space that is created for their peace and happiness, until they find their forever homes. KitTea will essentially be a hub, so that our partnered rescues Wonder Cat Rescue and Give Me Shelter Rescue can save more ‘at risk’ cats and kittens.”
Currently, Courtney and her team are working on picking the perfect space and location in their San Francisco neighborhood. They’re also focusing on one of the key components of making KitTea a success: funding. You can help make this oasis for cats and cat lovers a reality by donating to their crowdfunding campaign.
