Hi everyone! We are Lee Anne Benjamin and Scarlett Foltz the owners of Street Style Dogs. We receive photos of diva dogs from all around the world everyday that we share on our site and social media platforms––we also share inspirational dog stories and try to help raise awareness about puppy mills and why you should adopt and not shop.
One of the questions we often get from pet parents is: How can I keep my dog warm and stylish this winter? We are here to help!
First of all, some tips:
1. When looking for a winter coat for your pup, make sure to find one with with a fleece lining to keep your dog warm.
2. If you are looking to purchase a raincoat for your dog, make sure the raincoat says “water proof” in the description (surprisingly, they don’t all say that).
3. If you are purchasing dog booties for an older dog who isn’t use to them yet you may want to take some time indoors or in an environment where they are comfortable for practice. If you have a young pup, try to train them in booties from the start. (Remember: your dogs paws get cold too!)
4. If your dog hates being dressed up, then don’t do it. Some dogs love it and some hate it, always do what makes your dog happy first!
