Every year around Easter shelters and pet stores see an increase in rabbit adoptions. This is closely followed by a spike in abandoned rabbits—some returned to the place they were adopted, some sold, and many simply left on the side of the road.

Like dogs and cats, bunnies require a long-term commitment, and the decision to adopt should not be made lightly. Check out this infographic from DugDug for facts and figures that should hopefully make anyone think twice before going too far with their Easter bunny appreciation.
