From Pedigree:
As a mom to six adopted dogs, Grammy award-winner Miranda Lambert knows what it takes to help the nation’s more than four million shelter dogs find their loving homes––access to consistent, professional nutrition. That’s why the country music superstar has joined forces with Pedigree Brand to help feed the nation’s shelter dogs through The Pedigree Feeding Project––an initiative that supplies participating shelters with 100 percent of their core dog food needs, at absolutely no cost.
The Pedigree Feeding Project kicked off in 2012 in Chicago and Nashville, and so far each participating shelter has saved anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000 dollars. Those shelters have been able to put those funds directly back to adoption programs that help find loving homes for deserving dogs.
Now, we’re asking for America’s help to choose the next communities that will benefit from this great program so we can help more dogs find forever homes.
From now through February 28, 2013, dog lovers can visit Facebook.com/Pedigree to nominate the community where they think The Pedigree Feeding Project can most make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs.
The nomination process is simple:
In March, Miranda and the Pedigree Brand will announce the names of the five communities that have been selected as finalists in the search. America will then vote to determine the next communities to participate in The Pedigree Feeding Project. The winning communities will be announced mid-2013.
