“Surprise!” came to be a member of Jaime’s Midwestern family. She grew up as the “little girl with the Coke-bottle glasses,” Strawberry Shortcake shoes, knee-high socks, pigtails, and a plethora of albino rabbits, blue parakeets, beta fish, stray cats, and lovable mutts. Today she photographs animals for calendars, national magazines, and advertisements with Mr. ChaCha (her feisty Chihuahua) in Denver, Colorado.
