Grab your walking shoes and leashes and join Young At Heart Pet Rescue on October 6th for its 5th annual Mutt Mosey! Each step taken on the fundraising walk will benefit the animals of Young At Heart and help senior pets in open-admission shelters get a second chance!

This is a fundraiser walk set to the speed of senior pets – a MOSEY! It’s a one mile beautiful mosey through a new location, Fox River Preserve & Marina in Port Barrington, IL (just north of Barrington IL).

Music, Pet Costume Contest, Bake Sale, Pumpkin Decorating Contest for the kids, adoptable dogs, beautiful scenery and more!

This year, registration is FREE! You just have to raise a minimum of $50 to participate!

Prize tiers*:

$50- get a T-shirt!

$100-$249- get a pet bandana!

$250- $499 – get entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card (2 given)!

$500-$999- get entered into a raffle to win $100 gift card (2 given)!

$1000+ – get entered into a raffle to win one night stay for up to 4 people at Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells!

PLUS we have a generous donor who is willing to give a Kindle Fire to the FIRST AND SECOND PERSON to raise $1500!!! How cool is that!?!

Do you have to live around here to help?? ABSOLUTELY NOT! You can register for the walk and fundraise for prizes whether you live in the Chicago suburbs or in California! We’ll ship your prizes! Your registration allows you to create an online fundraising page.

Your well-mannered pooch is welcome to join you for this event! He or she will enjoy the event as much as you! Please make sure it is up to date on his/her rabies vaccine, and on a leash no longer than 6′ for everyone’s safety. Extendable leashes must be locked at a 6′ length. Dogs in heat are not allowed. We’ll have poop bags available at the check-in table if you forget your own!

So come on out, take a walk, and have some fun at the park. It’s a great way to stay “young at heart” and help homeless senior pets at the same time!
