TREE HOUSE HUMANE SOCIETY, 1212 W. Carmen Avenue: announces our Gala Celebration, The Black Cat Ball, to support our efforts to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured, abused, and neglected stray cats and help fund our Capital Campaign for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly Adoption Center and low-cost Veterinary Clinic. This Gala Event will take place Thursday, October 18th, 2012, 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. at Nacional 27, 325 West Huron Street in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
“We are pleased to host our 2nd annual Black Cat Ball as a premier fundraising event which celebrates Tree House’s 41st Anniversary,” commented Tree House Executive Director, Dave deFuniak. “This important event provides much needed support and funding to enable us to continue our efforts to help save the lives of Chicago’s most vulnerable animals and gives us an opportunity to honor our founders, volunteers, supporters, and staff who have helped us save nearly 20,000 stray cats and provide 25,000 free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. Additionally, we are thrilled to be unveiling the floorplans for our new Adoption Center and low-cost Veterinary Clinic at the event. Located in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, our new facility will further establish Tree House as one of the foremost animal welfare organizations in the country.”
