Adopt Me! Muneca the Maltese-Poodle!

Hello, I’m Muneca, which means “doll” in Spanish, and I AM one.  The nice people at TAILS asked me to tell you a bit about me in hopes that together we can find me a forever home!

I’m a 10-year-old Maltese-Poodle.  I’m very easy going and love everyone ­ babies, children, adults, dogs and kitties.  While I can be laid back, I also like to play and run, and particularly enjoy giving kisses and getting belly rubs.  I am pretty healthy for my age although I need to take a couple of pills each day for a mild case of Cushing’s and a thyroid problem. I take my pills gladly wrapped in cheese or some other yummy treat. Easy, right?! I’m told I am a perfect pet for any family.

What movie star would you want to portray you in a movie?
Why, Meryl Streep, of course!  Because I LOVE Meryl Streep.  Besides, like me, she only gets better with age and is a beauty inside and out.  I identify with her character in Julie & Julia as I also love to eat.

What is your favorite song?
Rescue Me by Fontella Bass. I can jive to its funky beat.  I’ve always been partial to the oldies (but goodies), and the message just speaks to me.

If you could have opposable thumbs for a day, what would you do?

Why should YOU go home with a family right now?
Life is short, and I yearn for that special forever after home of my very own. I’m open to new things — I can be a “country” dog or a “city” dog.  I love traveling and am really good in a car.  I can be a couch potato and lounge on my doggie bed waiting for you to come home, then go out and run around with other canines.  In other words, I say again, I am the perfect pet!
