TAILS Product Spotlight brought to you by our friends at Hugs Pet Products!

Looking for the perfect summer toy for your dog?

Well, look no further: Hugs Pet Products has come out with the award-winning Hydro Bone! The molded rubber bone has a foam core that absorbs and holds water. Simply soak the Hydro Bone in water and give it to your dog. As your pet chews on it, the water is released through specially-designed holes—keeping your dog stimulated, engaged, and hydrated! You can even freeze the Hydro Bone first, so you’re ready for those extra-hot days.

Dehydration, especially in the summer, is a common occurrence for pets. The Hydro Bone was developed to allow dogs to play while providing a consistent source of hydration. Our TAILS test dog is a huge fan! On her first test run, she took her Hydro Bone out to the balcony where she sat playing with it in the hot Miami sun for nearly an hour. She didn’t even need to come inside for water! She’s very excited about trying it at the beach.

The Hydro Bone combines the classic style of the dog bone with the durability of rubber and the water-retention properties of foam. It is the flagship product of Hugs Pet Products’ Hydro Toy line—which also includes the Hydro Ring, Saucer, Fetch and Ball—and is available for purchase at a wide variety of stores for only $9.99. You can see the whole line here.

Two lucky TAILS fans can have a Hydro Bone sent directly to them, no shopping necessary! Simply comment below telling us where your dog might happily use her own Hydro Bone. We’ll pick two winners, who will get their own Hydro Bone in plenty of time for the dog days of summer!

If you don’t win and have to go shopping for your Hydro Bone, you might even want to get two. Have one for everyday in the backyard or the park, or if you’re in Miami like our test dog, for the balcony! And, keep one in the freezer, so it’s always ready to go on whatever summer adventure may come your way.

Have a 12 week Grant Dane puppy who drinks her water way too fast and am worried about her getting bloat. Thought whis would be a great way for her to get the water she needs.

Hello! Love your bone!!! I provide care for a 10-yr old Akita who has recently been diagnosed with a torn ACL… together with her family, we are trying to figure out new ideas to keep her occupied, since her walks are limited to 1 – 3 minutes… sadly, that is no typo… not miles, rather, 1 -3 minutes!!! She loves the outdoors, and is becoming extremely bored, frustrated, and anxious due to her limitations.

I think the HYDRO BONE would be exactly what she needs… as she relaxes in the sun, she can enjoy chewing the bone, but, most importantly, maintaining hydration under her gorgeous fur coat!

Thank you for considering Akira to receive a HYDRO BONE!!! : ) Lori

I have been told my cairn terrier, Maisie Grace, has an attitude, but I think she just knows her worth. She loves to chew and to play. I know she would love this new bone.
