On April 28, 2012, The Relay for Life of Harrison County will be hosting the 3rd Annual Bark for Life at Lanesville Heritage Park in Lanesville, Indiana from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The Bark For Life is a full ACS Relay fundraising event that will honor the care giving qualities of our family “best friends.”
This event will be a fun and valuable contribution to the American Cancer Society (ACS), and a testament to the care and love shared between dogs and families. The event features our one mile walk, booths, food, games, demonstrations and entertainment all centered around our canine friends.
There are several ways that you and your organization can get involved with Bark for Life:
1. Become a Bark for Life Sponsor
2. Donate items for the Silent Auction
3. Form a team
4. Make a monetary donation
5. Register and walk your canine companion
You can also find the registration forms online at our website: www.relayforlife.org\harrisoncountyin. Information is listed under MORE EVENT INFORMATION tab located on the right side of the website. Then click on 2012 Bark for Life for all the details and forms. You can also find us on Facebook under Bark for Life of Harrison County.
If you are already participating on a people relay team and have members of your team who would like to fundraise with their dogs as your team fundraisers, please do! Neighborhood dog shows, pet sitting fundraisers, etc, are fun ways to involve new people and bring new energy to your team members. All canine related money raised through team fundraisers would be credited to your team.
Canine/people survivor and caregiver stories are heartwarming experiences being shared between ACS Bark For Life participants. Help save lives when you join this American Cancer Society Canine Mini-Relay – Bark For Life. You and your “best friend” will be partners in helping to create a Cancer Free World!
