Louisville Metro Animal Services’ (LMAS) is investigating a serious case of animal cruelty and is hoping the community can help with information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible.

LMAS officers found the cat behind an apartment complex located at 147 East Kingston Avenue in South Louisville on Tuesday night.  Witnesses stated that around 6:00 p.m., they saw juveniles near the cat and then saw them walking away carrying an arrow looking devise or weapon.

Those with any information about this act of cruelty are urged to call Metro Animal Services at (502) 363-6609.  The Humane Society of the United States is partnering with LMAS to offer a $2,500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction.

Shamrock Arrow Fund immediately assisted by covering the veterinary costs and will be placing the cat up for adoption after recovery.
