You’ve heard of dogs for the blind, but did you know there was an organization dedicated to providing assistance dogs to the deaf? Dogs for the Deaf works by adopting shelter/rescue dogs and training them to be placed as assistance dogs for the deaf and those with certain forms of autism.

Dogs for the Deaf works by adopting and then training shelter dogs for people with special needs (specifically the deaf and autistic). It’s an amazing program and we’re excited to share a testimonial from a Dogs for the Deaf pet parent about how her dog Harley has changed her life.

TAILS thinks this is a pretty amazing organization – two paws up! For more info on Dogs for the Deaf, please visit:  http://www.dogsforthedeaf.org/.
