In Norway it’s not uncommon to see lockers to store your pet while you shop. Norwegians say it’s a place to keep animals safe and dry while owners tend to errands. The group In Defense of Animals, states nearly 5 million pets go missing each year and believe this is a way to cut down that number.
Swedish designer, Henrick Eriksson, believes the lockers, called Hundehiet, give consumers a safe, lockable place to keep their dogs while they shop. The cost is about NOK 10 or $1.75 US.
Upon further inquiry no answers could be found about who operates the units and how they are cleaned. There were also questions about how they are kept cool in the summer temperatures.
What do you think about these pet lockers? Good idea or not? Could you see them working here in the US?

They look like a great alternative to locking your dog in your car if what you want is to cause them serious distress or death in the Summer!!!

absolutely not! leave your pets in the comfort of your home. buy a kennel large enough for them and keep them in a regulated client where its safe and clean.
