Halo Animal Rescue, Phoenix
Meet Kashi, a 6-year-old, spayed, vaccinated Manchester Terrier mix. She’s a puppy at heart and thinks she’s smaller than she is so she can be nervous around small children. Kashi has Valley Fever which is a fungal infection in the lungs that is easily treated with medication twice a day. It’s caused by dust in the air or sniffing the ground where spores lived. Not to worry, though—it’s not contagious. Kashi feels great and her condition doesn’t affect her spirit. She enjoys playing in the yard with the other dogs, and chasing the ball, and really likes the water, too!
What do others most admire about you?
Nothing gets me down! I greet everyone with a smile and a big hug. Even when my illness was at its worst, I was upbeat and friendly. My glass is always half full!
Would you be a tree or a flower?
A Larch tree. Strong, adaptable, beautiful, tough and waterproof!
Where is your ideal vacation destination?
Oh, do I love a beach. I don’t care if it a lake, island or coastline, just get me near water and watch me run and frolic. I get so happy and carefree and you won’t be able to resist being the same way!
Why should you go home with a family today?
I’ve been through a lot and keep on going. I am abundant in joy and have personality to spare.
