Orphans of the Storm Animal Rescue Hosts Open House and Adoption Campaign

October 7, 2011 by Jillian at Tails in Chicago with 1 Comment
Eddie

Eddie is currently in a foster home until the right family comes along. Eddie is a one year old Mountain Cur, and he loves all other dogs!

To celebrate national Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Orphans of the Storm® animal shelter is teaming up with their friends at the Animal Medical Center of Skokie for an open house and an “Adopt a friend for life” adoption drive. Deserving dogs of all shapes, ages and sizes will be on hand to pick their prospective new families. Everyone is invited to come and meet the dogs, (and even a few great kittens and cats), meet the doctors and get answers to your pet related questions, tour the facility and watch a live surgery (performed on the half hour all afternoon). The grill will be fired up, door prizes awarded, and everyone goes home with a goody bag.

When:
Saturday, October 22
10am – 4pm

Where:
Animal Medical Center of Skokie
8343 Skokie Blvd.
Skokie, IL 60077
For more information call 847-945-0235 or 847-673-2616

And to further celebrate, throughout the month of October, every family who adopts at Orphans of the Storm will receive an Orphans of the Storm signature cap.

Orphans of the Storm® animal shelter takes in the stray and abandoned of Lake County and beyond offering refuge and comfort while caring for over 500 animals on any day, placing well over 3,000 animals into loving homes each year. The shelter is open for adoption every day 11am-5pm.

Wrigley
