pet treat recipeFall is officially here and it’s time to celebrate. While your dogs are busy romping through the falling leaves and your kitties and laying in the windows enjoying the cool, crisp, air what better way to share the beauty of the season than by filling your home with the smell of baked treats that will have your critter eating out of your palm-literally.

Here are a few recipes to get you started. Have fun and enjoy.

Kitty Yum Yums

Undrained tuna (pureed) – 6 ounces
Cornmeal – 1 cup
Flour – 1 cup
Water – ⅓ cup
Egg (beaten) – 1

To begin, take a mixing bowl and combine cornmeal and flour. Then add tuna, egg and water to this dry mixture. Knead the ingredients together to form stiff dough. Once the dough is prepared roll it out into small cookies. Use cookie cutters in any fall theme, perhaps leaves of pumpkins. Then, preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit. Grease a cookie sheet and place the cookies on it. Bake the cookies for about 20 minutes and serve them to your feline friend.
