Sunny Sky's Animal RescueMore than 100 rescue dogs have Facebook and countless volunteers to thank for their good fortune after their bus broke down in mid-transport from Los Angeles to Puyallup, Washington.

The team from Sunny Sky’s Animal Rescue leveraged the power of social media in their time of need by immediately posting to their Facebook page that they needed help.

“UPDATE : for all those just tuning in…. WE NEED HELP…” posted one volunteer.

Within an hour, a mechanic, veterinarians, and dozens of other people were on board and willing to help.

Volunteers also contacted local media who covered the story.

The 100+ dogs and volunteers are now safe and sound in Puyallup. Sunny Sky’s Animal Rescue is working on finding them loving forever homes. If you’d like to know more about the rescue or donate to the bus-repair fund, visit their Facebook page.
