So Ugly They’re Cute

A star was born when Yoda, a Chinese Crested-Chihuahua mix, recently took home top honors in the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest. Purina’s Petcentric blog is hosting its own poll to find out which dog and cat breeds, from the Peruvian Hairless to the Cornish Rex, are so ugly, they’re cute.
Of all the breeds in the running – the Xoloitzcuintli (a.k.a. Xolo or Mexican Hairless), Peruvian Hairless, Chihuahua, and Chinese Crested in the dog class; and Sphynx and Cornish Rex in the cat category – Chihuahuas were leading the good-natured poll by a large margin. What do think – unattractive or beauty’s in the eye of the beholder?
