Is it a good idea to get medical insurance for my pet, who is already two and pretty healthy??
~
Medical Insurance for your pet is one of the best investments you can make. Some are only for emergencies, while others pay for wellness services such as vaccines, dental procedures, heartworm and fecal testing, and spaying/neutering. Most do not cover pre-existing or congenital diseases, just like human insurance, and some breeds are exempt from some policies. Each policy has different deductibles and different coverage, so choose one that works well for you and your pet. You can visit PetInsuranceReview.com to read reviews from pet guardians who have invested in health insurance, compare coverage and rates from multiple insurers, and get free quotes. With most companies, pet guardians file their own medical claims for reimbursement of already-paid medical expenses.

Great post on the value of pet care insurance!
According to recent statistics, only around 3% of pet owners in America have pet care insurance. I found this statistic very shocking considering most pet owners do sincerely care about their pet’s health. It is sad that these same people would not hesitate a minute to purchase home insurance, extended auto insurance coverage and even life insurance, yet never give a second thought to getting health insurance for their family pet. I hate to even think about how many pets are “put down” each year because their owners are unable to afford the expensive medical treatment and care costs when their pet is seriously injured or becomes gravely ill.
Trying to do “my part” to get more pet owners to consider pet care insurance by creating a blog to help people find find the best pet insurance and other related information. Feel free to pay me a visit at:
