If you like basketball, music and celebrities, have we got an event for you! Angels in Fur is hosting “Play for the Pups”, a celebrity basketball fundraiser, on Saturday April 30th at Burroughs High School in Burbank. They’ve even got a red carpet entry at 10am. That will be followed by a Meet & Greet at 10:45 am. Or you can go just to cheer on these generous celebrities who have donated their time to help the dogs. Tickets are available at various levels.

The event will be emceed by Debra Wilson. Basketball players include stars from Desperate Housewives (James Denton), House (Jesse Spencer), American Idol (Tim Urban) among many others. Musical performances will be provided by Andrew Garcia (American Idol), Chelsea Tavares (Unfabulous on Nickelodeon) and more. There will also be special celebrity guests including Kevin Dobson (Knots Landing, you know you remember!), Rodney Allen Ripey, Edie McClurg, Preston and Brennan Bailey, Josie Loren, Didi Benami.

Here’s how Angels in Fur describe the work they do every day:
AIF was formed to rescue and re-home abandoned dogs from the pound or neglectful guardians. We not only rescue dogs of all breeds and mixes, we rehabilitate them with love and bonding as if they were our very own. We work hard to restore each dog to a safe and loving home. No matter how long that make take! We provide follow-up assistance and support for the life of the dog.
