Pet Food Pantry in Edgewater Area

March 1, 2011 by Tails Magazine in Chicago with 0 Comments

(March 1, 2011) – Care For Real – Edgewater’s Food Pantry & Bark Bark Club have partnered in the Edgewater area to provide dog and cat food to those in need. Many local pet shops and veterinarians are donating food.

Care For Real’s mission is to help our neighbors in the Edgewater community by providing food, clothing and counseling services to those in need. We do this through on-site food distribution, deliveries to the homebound, a free clothes closet and a case management program to help clients connect with other services they may require.

Bark Bark Club is a full service pet care facility which offers grooming, daycare, crate-free boarding, dog walking and training. They work with One Tail At A Time, a local pet shelter, fostering dogs and finding forever homes. BBC has been voted the Best Groomer in Chicago by Chicago Magazine and Reader.

If you would like to help support this cause, please contact Irene Bermudez at Care For Real 773-274-2380 or office@careforreal.org or Patti Colandrea at Bark Bark Club 773-878-7233 or barkbarkclub@gmail.com. Pet Food Pantry donations can be dropped off at Care For Real or Bark Bark Club.

The Pet Food Pantry will be open on Thursday, March 3 and April 7 from 3pm to 5pm.
