Low cost vaccines available at Chicago Animal Care and Control

January 11, 2011 by Tails Magazine in Chicago with 0 Comments

Recently, Chicago area wildlife officers observed three raccoons that appeared to be displaying signs of distemper, which is highly contagious to companion animals.

In an effort to prevent the spread of the disease, Chicago Animal Care and Control will be offering low-cost vaccine clinics every three weeks beginning Saturday,  Jan. 15. Distemper vaccines are available for $7; rabies vaccines cost $15.  No appointment necessary. For more information, visit www.CityOfChicago.org/animalcare or call (312)747-1406.
