(LOUISVILLE, December 14, 2010) – Metro Animal Services and the Humane Society of the United States are asking for help to solve a case of animal cruelty.  The bodies of two male adult cats were found on December 4, tortured and mutilated behind the Kroger located at 5001 Mud Lane.  LMPD and Metro Animal Services are working on the investigation together.

The first cat was an orange declawed tiger approximately 6-8 years old.  It had white under the chin, white on the tip of its tail and on all four paws in varying degrees.  There was also an area on its back that appears to be a site used for administering medication.  The second cat was a grey declawed tiger that appeared to be approximately 2 years old.

If you have any information regarding this case, please call Metro Animal Services at 363-6609 or the LMPD tip line at 574-LMPD(5673).
