Yesterday we brought you a breaking news story about a dog who had been involved in a serious car accident…
That dog is Hope (pictured above), and she was thrown from a vehicle in Louisville, KY, and then hit by another car. The driver of a third vehicle stopped to help her, and the Animal Control Officers from Louisville Metro Animal Services (MAS) responded doing triage near the site where she was found.
Hope was then rushed to Jefferson Animal Hospital where she was given immediate care to relieve her suffering. She must now undergo $7,000 to $8,000 in surgery at Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services.
No Kill Louisville agreed to fund the surgeries and care Hope needs, giving her a second chance at life. In addition, multiple local entities are also donating money to help cover Hope’s medical expenses, including MAS, Jefferson Animal Hospital, LVSES, Consuming Louisville, and even TAILS!
