Celebs make PSA for animal rights

Last Chance for Animals (LCA), a nonprofit animal-rights organization since 1984, has teamed up with famed celebrity photographer Christopher Ameruoso to create a new line of print public service announcements.

Ameruoso explains that a campaign like this is especially important because, “you are dealing with creatures who cannot speak for themselves. We as humans must protect innocents and spread the word on these issues. With the help of celebrities speaking out, it will help draw attention to the problems at hand.”

The PSAs aim to raise awareness for the organization’s many campaigns. They encourage the public to take a stand against dog fighting, pet theft, and animal products. The messages also spread the “adopt don’t shop” message.

Animal loving celebrities such as Pamela Anderson, Jillian Michaels, Holly Madison, Mini-Me Verne Troyer, and Maria Menounos star in the ads, toting their furry friends. The organization will create a new PSA each month in an effort to eradicate all the different forms of abuse animals face.

The PSAs will appear on billboards and other advertising spaces donated to LCA. The images are also available for download at LCAnimal.org. —Sarah Hyde
