PetSmart Charities’ Rescue Waggin’ program is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The program takes dogs from overcrowded shelters where they may face euthanasia and transports them to shelters where adoptable dogs are in demand, increasing their chances of finding a forever home. Since its inception in 2004, Rescue Waggin’ has transported more than 25,000 dogs and currently has 53 participating shelters in 24 states.
